Tim pemantauan penyu dan perlindungan sarang S4C LPPM UNIPA (“tim pantai”) bersama masyarakat lokal telah bekerja keras di pantai Jeen Yessa sejak April 2023, yakni awal musim peneluran penyu belimbing. Menjelang akhir musim, tim pantai melakukan pemaparan hasil kegiatan bagi masyarakat kampung Resye dan Womom. Presentasi hasil kegiatan ini dilakukan pada hari Minggu tanggal 17 September 2023 di samping Rumah Belajar UNIPA di kampung Resye. Terdapat 24 anggota masyarakat yang hadir, terdiri dari 12 orang perempuan dan 12 orang laki-laki. Pendeta dari Gereja Lahai-Roi di kampung Resye, Ibu Christina Wakum, membuka kegiatan dengan doa.

Perwakilan dari tiga tim pantai di Jeen Yessa berperan dalam kegiatan ini. Natalia Rumbiak, tenaga perlindungan sarang dari pantai Batu Rumah, menjadi pembawa acara dalam kegiatan ini, lalu Bernadus Duwit, tenaga lapangan dari pantai Batu Rumah, sebagai notulen, dan yang mempresentasikan hasil adalah Mayustilo Hokoyoku, tenaga lapangan dari pantai Wembrak. Mayustilo menyampaikan kegiatan yang dilakukan di pantai selama kurang lebih enam bulan dan hasil rangkuman data sementara yang meliputi aktivitas peneluran penyu, perlindungan sarang, dan evaluasi sukses penetasan. Foto-foto yang ditampilkan dalam presentasi menyoroti keterlibatan anggota masyarakat lokal di pantai peneluran.

Kegiatan ini diterima baik oleh masyarakat. Masyarakat senang mendengar hasil kegiatan tim yang bekerja di pantai bersama masyarakat lokal. Melalui presentasi ini, masyarakat yang hadir, termasuk mereka yang tidak terlibat dalam kegiatan di pantai peneluran, mendapatkan informasi tentang apa yang dilakukan untuk melestarikan penyu dan hasilnya. Dua dari enam pemilik pantai Jeen Yessa juga hadir dalam kegiatan ini. Seorang anggota masyarakat kampung Resye, Bapak Enos Yesnath, memberikan saran agar dapat dibuatkan video pelepasan tukik bersama masyarakat lokal yang kemudian dapat digunakan untuk instrumen penyadartahuan.
Pemaparan hasil kegiatan pada akhir musim peneluran bagi masyarakat lokal rutin dilakukan tim sejak 2019. Kegiatan ini penting karena memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat lokal dan kesempatan berdiskusi antara tim pantai dan masyarakat lokal. Terlebih lagi, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan rasa memiliki dan kebanggaan dalam setiap anggota masyarakat karena semua capaian dalam upaya pelestarian penyu musim ini adalah hasil kerja bersama LPPM UNIPA dan masyarakat lokal.
