class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Masyarakat kampung memiliki peran startegis dalam pengelolaan sumberdaya alam, namun tingkat kemiskinan yang tinggi menghambat masyarakat lokal dalam mendukung penuh upaya konservasi. Masyarakat Abun adalah pemilik pantai Jamursba Medi dan Wermon, dua pantai peneluran penting bagi penyu belimbing di Pasifik. Walau terletak di wilayah pesisir, sumber penghasilan utama masyarakat adalah bertani dan berburu. Pemasaran hasil pertanian dan buruan menjadi kendala utama karena lokasi kampung-kampung yang terisolasi dengan akses transportasi yang sangat terbatas dan jadwal yang tidak menentu. Keterbatasan akses transportasi sangat mempengaruhi kemampuan menjual produk pertanian karena sifat produk pertanian yang mudah rusak. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengantisipasi masalah akses pemasaran yang sulit adalah dengan memperpanjang umur simpan produk hasil pertanian. Dengan dukungan dana hibah INOVASI dari Conservation International, CoE menempatkan tiga tenaga pendamping di Distrik Abun (satu orang perkampung) yang bertugas untuk melatih masyarakat membuat minyak kelapa dan keripik pisang secara higienis dan membawa produk olahan tersebut dari kampung ke Manokwari. Kelapa dan pisang merupakan komoditi unggulan di Abun. Antara Mei dan September, para pendamping telah melakukan 7 kali perjalanan produksi, dan telah menghasilkan \u00b1169 liter minyak kelapa dan \u00b142 kg keripik pisang. Penghasilan tambahan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat dalam periode tersebut berkisar sekitar Rp.8.000.000,- yang meliputi pembelian bahan baku dan pembayaran transportasi dengan perahu masyarakat. Supaya keuntungan dirasakan masyarakat luas, para pendamping pengolahan membeli kepala atau pisang dari keluarga yang berbeda-beda dalam setiap proses produksi. Di Manokwari, produk-produk tersebut kemudian dikemas, diberikan label, dan dipasarkan oleh pendamping pemasaran. Sekitar 29kg keripik pisang dan 140 liter minyak kelapa telah dijual. Keripik dijual dalam kemasan 150gram seharga Rp.10.000 per bungkus, dan minyak kelapa dijual seharga Rp.15.000 per botol 500ml, Rp.30.000 per botol 1 liter, dan Rp.100.000 per botol 5 liter. Selain dipasarkan dilingkungan kampus UNIPA, minyak kelapa dipasarkan di dua kios dan keripik pisang di 10 kios di daerah Amban, Manokwari. Salah satu tujuan program pemberdayaan perekonomian masyarakat lokal di Abun adalah proses pengolahan yang mengarah ke orientasi industri baik skala mikro maupun kecil. Strategi yang demikian diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak peningkatan yang signifikan bagi perekonomian masyarakat. Setelah memiliki kondisi perekonomian keluarga yang lebih baik, diharapkan peran serta masyarakat dalam program konservasi penyu belimbing pun akan semakin
